Philippine Eagle Translocation Project
The Philippine Eagle Translocation project, a collaboration between the Fund and the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF), aims to protect the critically endangered Philippine Eagle by relocating ten individuals from Mindanao to Leyte Island. This initiative seeks to restore the species’ population and habitat, addressing threats like shooting and habitat loss while engaging local communities and preserving forest ecosystems. It marks a key step in global raptor conservation, ensuring the survival of this flagship species in the Philippines.Below is a collection of photos from our work on this project.
